Beloved Family,
the memorial for Michelle (Shelly) Beigh was a very warm heart felt
event, with to many Clubs and Organizations present to list.
Chaplain Dave gave a very moving eulogy. He spoke on a number of
topics including the 3 kinds of God's love mentioned in the Bible,
Phillandros Love (the love of a woman for a man), Agape Love (God's
unconditional Love for Humanity) John 3:16, and Philadelphia Love
(Brotherly Love) 1 Thes 4:9.
Dave mentioned how the Christian community could learn a valuable
lesson about Philadelphia Love from the Biker community.
There must have been well over 200 people in attendance. I'm sure
many Know Mike (Roadrunner) Beigh and knew his wife Shelly personally,
but I'll bet, like me, even more people in attendance did not. This is
just testimony about what a great and loving community Bikers have
created. Most people in attendance came out simply to support a grieving
man and his family in their hour of mourning. I have seen the biker
community come out time and time again to lend a helping hand, not only
to our own, but also to freely lend a hand to those of other communities.
I left the service with 2 strong impressions.
First that the Beigh Family are truly loved and blessed and I'm sure
Mike felt a little better after the service.
Second, that I am truly blessed to have a small place in such a
wonderfuly diverse community of motorcycle loving people.
Dave you fill my heart with joy!
You fulfill your ministry well and I'm sure God smiled today.
Now it's time for lunch, then at about 5:00pm it's off to the Easy
Rider Show.
